Blessed tidings in Jesus’ Name to every one of you. We thank God for your fellowship, love, prayers, and care.
It is with heavy hearts that we write to express our sorrow over the passing of our beloved Founder, a faithful servant of God, Dr. Ooi Chin Aik, on 27th. February 2025. His time with us may have ended but the impact of his life and ministry will forever remain etched in our hearts. Our dear brother, the late Dr. Ooi Chin Aik was a true inspiration to us all. Our beloved brother is safe in the arms of Jesus.
The Board of Directors have met and we share this communication to assure you that the Board will press on to guide MAP Ministry forward and its continuity and sustainability. We deeply appreciate all contributions made towards MAP Ministry; the cash gifts so generously given towards the late Dr. Ooi Chin Aik’s Medical Fund and the comforting prayers of many from all over the world.
MAP’s direction for the future follows the desire and leading of our Almighty God to carry on the legacy of our dear brother the late Dr. Ooi Chin Aik. He had dedicated his life to the work of the gospel through MAP in the declaration that “Everyone Can Advance the Gospel” MAP Board members, ministry workers and staff are of one voice in continuing the work of the gospel through MAP. We are reminded of the Vision and Mission of MAP.
Vision: “To catalyse the Church in Asia Pacific to meet the challenges of God’s Kingdom in the Third Millennium.”
Mission statement:” To cheer the work of evangelism, teaching and leadership in Asia Pacific by ministering and mentoring.”
Our desire is to fulfil the vision and mission of MAP through the work already established and new work to come as the Lord leads. We covet your prayers and your continued partnership in funding the work of MAP, REAP ministry and the ongoing support of the office operation in Malaysia, as we prayerfully chart the way ahead for MAP in the furtherance of the gospel. Your prayers and support is much needed, as your partnership is vital for MAP to chart our next steps. We will update you soon on the exciting journey ahead for MAP Partners as the Lord leads.
We are pleased to advise that Elder Peter Tan has agreed to rejoin the Board. Peter was a Founding Member of MAP Council of Reference and Director of MAP Partners Berhad, having contributed extensively to MAP’s ministerial endeavours especially in its early years. We look forward to Peter affording his wealth of experience, couple with his passion towards evangelism for the continuity and sustainability of MAP moving forward. Welcome home, Peter.
